Knut Reinertz, CEO

Knut Reinertz, CFA, was born in Luxembourg in 1963 and grew up in Belgium, Luxembourg and Finland. In 1987, he graduated from the University of Trier in Germany with majors in Finance and Banking. After working for BGL in Luxembourg in the institutional portfolio management department until 1990, he spent some years in Finland and Canada. In 1993 he rejoined BGL, this time in Hong Kong where his last position held was Chief Representative and General Manager. In 2002, he moved back to Luxembourg, heading the department in charge of New Markets in Fortis’ private banking division. At the end of 2007, he started Edison Capital Partners S.A. Knut became a CFA Charterholder in 1996 and serves as Vice President for the Luxembourg CFA Society.

Patrick Hansen, Commercial Director

Patrick Hansen was born in Luxembourg. He holds a Commercial Engineer degree from ICHEC, Brussels as well as an MBA Finance degree from McGill University Montreal. After graduating from McGill he worked for management consulting firm Arthur D. Little in London in their corporate finance department concentrating on the media & telecommunication industry. Thereafter he created with some partners several successful companies, one of which was sold to Nasdaq-quoted Company (MNST) and another one to a company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (REA).
In 2003, he joined Deloitte Luxembourg to set up their activities in Russia. Having finished his tasks he then was recruited by the Fortis Banking Group to set up their first representative office in Russia and to build it to a commercially successful and profitable entity. He was closely involved in several major financial transactions in Russia. In 2007 Patrick Hansen founded Edison Capital Partners S.A. together with Knut Reinertz and Graham Wilson.

Philippe Kauffman, Finance and Risk Director

Philippe Kauffman was born in Luxembourg. He holds a Licence in Commercial and Financial Sciences from ICHEC, Brussels. For more than 10 years, he worked for Paul Wurth S.A., a subsidiary of the steel producer ArcelorMittal. Philippe Kauffman occupied several positions within Paul Wurth S.A., which covered management of research and development projects, creation of joint ventures, conduction of sales negotiations for industrial equipment as well as the redaction and negotiation of cooperation, licence and insurance contracts. He has also been in charge of the risk management, including the evaluation and the monitoring of technical, commercial and legal aspects in relation to the industrial equipment agreements.

Graham J. Wilson, Non-Executive Director

Graham J. Wilson was born in St. Neots, England. He holds an LLB degree from University College London, England, as well as an LLM degree from Nancy University, France. Graham J. Wilson was called to the Bar at Gray’s Inn in London, in July 1975. Furthermore, he was called to the Bar of Luxembourg in November 2006.
Mr. Wilson practiced as in-house counsel for British Petroleum PLC from 1977 to 1979. Subsequently, from 1979 to 1981 he worked as in-house counsel at RTZ Corporation PLC. From September 1981, he has been practising in taxation, trusts, corporate and securities law, insurance and reinsurance. Mr Wilson is the founder and principal of the firm Wilson associates, established in Luxembourg since 1994.
In addition, Mr Wilson is an active member and occupies distinctive positions in several associations including: Chairman at Benelux Branch of Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP); Chairman at STEP Worldwide Audit Committee; Chairman at Grosvenor International SA Audit Committee; Member at Bar Association for Commerce, Finance & Industry (BACFI); Member at International Bar Association (IBA) Business and Human Rights sections; Member at International Fiscal Association (IFA).
Mr. Wilson speaks English and French.
